Music and Babies: The Positive Effect On Children

Music is such an influential subject for humans during our lifetime, that also applies to the deaf community. I once did a show with a deaf man and he actually kept the rhythm for us to one song and signed to it as well, it was amazing. Every ounce ad moment that's created with and from music is important and valuable to everyone.

By definition, music is the expression of emotion, (read it on google). Music often tells the stories that we ourselves are unable to share. It flows through us and even when we think the music is dead there's a little tune going on inside of us, expressing exactly how we are feeling. Music is something that can touch everyones spirit, body, and mind in the deepest of ways.

So how does this apply to babies?? Well, the development of the brain is heavily influenced by music, especially for babies. The majestical tune or hum of a song on most occasions can very easily calm down a fussy baby. Babies are born with billions of neurons, these neurons form connections with other neurons and when you add music to the equation this can form the so called “music related connections” in the brain, that’s often why babies calm down when they hear a tune. Music creates growth within several ways and the best way to introduce great growth to a baby is through music.

It has been shown that music wires our brains for certain thinking patterns almost. Humans have what's called spatial reasoning. If you listen to classical music it turns on our spacial reasoning, this is great however it works for about an hour and thereafter dies when the music is taken away. So singing classical music or having babies listen to classical music will activate their spatial reasoning!

Singing to babies can be very effective afterwards, it shows the baby love and affection and makes them happy! Studies have proven that when sung to you are able to learn language easier. So with that said music is powerful and has a huge effect on us from the moment we are brought into this world!

Music is hope

Music is inspiration

And music is Love
